The God Bawdy is an independent shapewear label and online store. We design and sell waist trainers, bodysuits, compression dresses, bottoms and bras — one small, deliberate line rather than a catalogue of everything — and we help you choose the right piece for your body through a short fit quiz, a published size guide and a written guide to wearing compression well.

The store is for anyone who has stood in front of a mirror with a dress that should work and a drawer of shapewear that rolled, pinched or showed a line. That is most of us. Our customers are women and men shopping for a smoother line under clothes, a confidence piece for a wedding or a photograph, and a trainer to build a routine around — and they range from XXS to 6XL, which is why every style in the line is cut across the full size range instead of the middle of it.

We build it ourselves. The pieces are developed in-house by our own small team, who fit every sample on real bodies and write the guidance that goes with them — the four-week schedule, the wash instructions, the honest note about what compression does and does not do. The same team answers the support inbox, so the person who tells you which size to start in is the person who chose the fabric. If something does not work for you, we would rather hear it than have it sit in a drawer.
